Getting enough sunlight can halve your risk of developing some forms of cancer, such as esophageal, pancreatic, and ovarian. Australian researchers found that even small amounts of sunlight, such as two or three minutes a day, produce enough vitamin D to lower risk.

Studies show that people who get a lot of sunlight reduce risk of ovarian cancer by 30%, esophageal cancer by 40%, and pancreatic cancer by 47 %.The key is getting moderate sunlight without getting sunburned, which can cause skin cancer.
